Pixelbook Go Leaked Ahead of Google Event

The Pixel 4 has already leaked extensively and now we're getting a hands-on look at the Pixelbook Go courtesy of 9to5Google. Just head to the Made By Google event channel on YouTube at the appointed hour, and you'll be able to watch a live stream of everything Google announces.

Like the Pixelbook, the Pixelbook Go will have a premium metal exterior, albeit not quite as sleek and sober. 9to5Google has an extensive report with a gallery of images of the new device. This device is very rounded, lacks the two-tone aesthetic of the Pixelbook, and has ribbing for some reason. The top panel, on the other hand, has a smooth, matte finish that 9to5Google compares to the finish of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. You just need to know where to stream the event online.

The Pixelbook Go will be the successor to the $US1,000 Pixelbook, a great, sleek Chromebook running Chrome OS released in 2017 that was too expensive for a laptop that essentially exclusively runs the Chrome web browser, Android apps, and a few select apps specially built for Chrome OS.

This year, the Pixel 4 has been leaked in every way possible, with Google itself confirming details about the phone beforehand, going so far as to put up a giant billboard to show off the new "Orange" colour of the phone. Reportedly, the laptop will come in configurations up to a Core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 4K "Molecular Display".

The lower-end unit that was provided for this preview features a 13.3-inch full HD touch screen, Intel Core M3 processor, and 8GB RAM. Then again, with various configurable specs, it might not break the bank unless you go off with options.
