New Nintendo Switch Lite Is Not Labo VR Compatible

After months of rumours and leaks, Nintendo has finally officially announced the Nintendo Switch Lite, a strictly handheld version of its console. Nintendo is indeed launching the Nintendo Switch Lite this September for $199, removing the device's signature ability to "switch" between a portable system and a home console.

However, for the Switch Lite, Nintendo has opted for a dedicated, always-attached input method akin to its previous handheld devices such as the Nintendo 3DS. This is a new addition to the Switch family and is created to be portable/handheld only with a nice discount over the standard Switch model. The Nintendo Switch Lite is a much smaller, exclusively handheld version of the Nintendo Switch and comes in three different colors: yellow, gray and turquoise. "Ultimate" via Nintendo Switch Online or in local wireless multiplayer mode. But, in all reality, it's not going to matter that much, you're still getting the same quality of gameplay even in the Lite's smaller screen size. However, Nintendo says The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for "roughly 4 hours on a single charge", which is an hour longer than on the original untethered console. On the downside, you wont be able to connect the Lite to your TV and it doesnt support HD Rumble or IR Motion Camera features. It also features integrated controls, making it a handled-only machine.

Available in yellow, grey or turquoise, the Switch Lite measures 91.1 x 208 x 13.9 to 28.4mm and weighs about 275g. "Now consumers can choose the system that best suits how they like to play their favorite Nintendo Switch games". That means the official "approximately 2.5 to 6.5 hour" battery range for the first Switch should approach 3 to 7 hours on the Switch Lite, with actual performance heavily dependent on the processing and display requirements of the game being played. The Switch Lite is noticeably lighter than the Switch, and some insist it feels more sturdy. You might want to give the Switch Lite a look. I've always enjoyed playing handheld games, and part of my loyalty to Nintendo was their handheld games. To find play mode compatibility information for specific games, please refer to the product packaging or Nintendo eShop. It has no kickstand and doesn't support video output to a TV - so it does not come with a dock or HDMI cable.
