Found the extrasolar planetary mass object with a magnetic field

Scientists are working to explain the presence of a mysterious large object floating outside the solar system that may be a rogue planet.

A brown dwarf is a space object that's too massive to be called a planet, but it's not presenting a nuclear fusion reaction in its core to be dubbed as a star.

A odd 200 million-year-old object with the mass of a planet has been discovered 20 light-years from Earth, outside our solar system.

A celestial object almost twelve times larger than Jupiter was found floating in space about twenty light-years from Earth.

"This particular object is exciting because studying its magnetic dynamo mechanisms can give us new insights on how the same type of mechanisms can operate in extrasolar planets - planets beyond our solar system", added Kao.

What's really special about that planet with the big long name is that it has a magnetic field 200 times stronger than even the mighty Jupiter.

It also boasts scorching surface temperatures of around 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit. This fits with the object being between a planet and a brown dwarf and could provide valuable information about both groups.

The VLA observations provided both the first radio detection and the first measurement of the magnetic field of a possible planetary mass object beyond our Solar System.

In a report published to The Astrophysical Journal, Melodie Kao and her colleagues estimated that SIMP is roughly 200 million years old and around 12 times the size of Jupiter.

The unusual object, called SIMP J01365663+0933473, has a magnetic field which is more than 200 times stronger than the magnetic field field of Jupiter, according to the study published in The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series.

Located in New Mexico, at an altitude of 6,969 ft, Karl G. Jansky's Very Large Array (VLA) is a radio telescope that is part of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory network.

The planet is believed to have scorching surface temperatures of around 825C. Some brown dwarfs have powerful auroras like those seen around the poles of Earth, Jupiter and Saturn caused by the interactions of a planet's magnetic field and the electrically charged solar wind. Originally detected in 2016, it was one of five brown dwarfs that astronomers studied using the VLA.

Researchers at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory have detected the first exoplanet using a radio-telescope, which is huge, very hot, and has a powerful magnetic field.
