Best iPad Air 2020 Deals: Where to buy Apple's newest tablet

Apple has used its "Time Flies" event to launch the fourth-generation iPad Air, an update to the tablet that adds a larger 10.9-inch display and updates the physical design to bring it in line with the iPad Pro range. Of course, Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard are supported too for these two new tablets as separated accessories.

Pricing starts at $599 in the United States.

Apple has redesigned the iPad Air to include a new 5-nanometer chip, the A14 Bionic, and a USB-C port. As speculated, the revamped iPad Air (2020) was introduced and so as the iPad 8th-Gen with new tech specs and features.

"The 8th gen iPad still features the same 10.2" Retina Display that pushes the same 2160×1620 pixels resolution.

As for cameras, it has a 7-megapixel FaceTime HD camera on the front and has the same 12-megapixel camera on the back as the iPad Pro which records 4K video.

USB-C has finally made its way to the Air, replacing the Lightning port and offering a more universal charging option.

The new iPad Air comes at a starting price of ₹54,900 for the WiFi-only variant and ₹66,900 for the WiFi + Cellular variant.

Outside of the processor upgrade, everything about this year's iPad is the same as the previous model. The newly launched 8th generation iPad replaces the 7th generation iPad that was launched in the fall a year ago as the entry-level iPad.

This is definitely the biggest upgrade to the iPad Air, ever. This will seemingly be the first official use of the new A14 Bionic chip. There is also support for the 1st-gen Apple Pencil as well as keyboards from Apple and third-party vendors.

Going by leaked iPad Air 4 user manual images on Twitter, iPad Air 4 is likely to feature thin bezels and rounded edges. It has a sleek design that matches the squared-off design found on the iPad Pro, along with Apple Pencil 2 support, and even a fingerprint scanner embedded into the Power button. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi + Cellular model is US$729 for 64GB and US$879 for 256GB.

"We're excited to offer customers an even faster and more powerful experience with the eighth-generation iPad", said Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

The entry-level iPad retains its sweet $329 price for the 32GB Wi-Fi model. But it is not enough to say it, the bitten apple wants to maintain its position of power by presenting two new products on the market.
