Apple's 2018 WWDC event starts June 4th

For the second year in a row, Apple will hold the event at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, as opposed to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, where the company used to regularly hold the event.

Apple has finally provided a date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the tech giant's first major event of the year. But, of course, WWDC is most notable to the public because it's one of two major events where Apple unveils new products and developments. Tickets are limited, and expensive: one will set you back $1,599. Registration is open until Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members have until March 22nd to register through the WWDC website for a chance to buy tickets. Tickets will be issued through a random selection process. However, Apple often reveals new devices during the keynote of WWDC, and this year we're tentatively expecting to see a new MacBook Air with a Retina display, and likely some new iPads, possibly with Face ID. While rumors suggest iOS 12's focus will be stability and performance, we don't know that much about the update yet. Up to 350 student scholarships are available, allowing chosen students to attend for free.
